Where does the planning data come from?
Local planning authority registers, which are public records. We normalise them into one format, add location data, and keep the original reference so you can always check the source. PlotSignal is not a substitute for the statutory register.
How quickly will I hear about a new application?
On a paid plan, within minutes of it appearing on the register. Free accounts get a weekly round-up. Councils themselves publish on their own schedule, usually daily.
Does objecting actually make a difference?
Yes, when the objection is on material planning grounds, things like overlooking, highway safety, or loss of light. Objections about property values or who the applicant is carry no weight. Our objection builder only offers grounds that do.
Do I need an account to look something up?
